Lenape Descendant 访问s Third Grade

Third Grade had an amazing time learning about the Lenape tribe. 卡拉梅辛杰卖力地, a woman of Lenape descent, visited with the students and read the book that she authored named, “Where the Shadbush Blooms”. The book compares life then and now for the Lenape people. Messinger created a wonderful mini museum with artifacts throughout the A to Z Library and Learning Commons. Each class got to spend an hour with Messinger and loved hearing the history of the Lenape Tribe.

Here are just some of the lessons that third graders from Ellen McMichael’s class said:

Life lessons I will remember is do not waste, and work as a team. ——萨拉·H.

A life lesson I learned is take what you need and don’t waste. ——埃里克·L.

A life lesson I learned is to help others and have fun learning. ——夏洛特·U.

I really liked when we got to look around and explore the artifacts. ——夏洛特·U.
